So, what is Trybal Revival, anyway?

Trybal Revival began in June of 2007 with an entry in Kalamazoo's zany Do-Dah Parade, called the Trybal Revival Samba Band. From that small beginning we have added strength and numbers while branching out into various events and activities. We are old and young, black and white, gay and straight, of various creeds, and we gather to celebrate our unity. While music is our primary bond, we also meet to enjoy food and drink, celebrate the seasons of the year, and support other life-affirming social activities.

We make music for its inherent value, and when we sing and drum, all the walls come tumbling down. We encourage the spontaneous and intuitive, while avoiding highly structured approaches to music. This makes the experience open to anyone.
